As much as this office understands that “life happens,” it has become necessary to start enforcing the Late Cancellation and No-Show policy. No-shows and late cancellations cost this office thousands of dollars a year, so to keep the cost of care low the following policy will take affect on August 1, 2024:
For any no-show (that is a patient or massage client that schedules an appointment but does not show up), or late cancellation (less than 24+ hours), that person will be billed:
- First no-show or late cancellation: 60% of the scheduled service cost.
- Second no-show or late cancellation: 80% of the scheduled service cost.
- Third+ no-show or late cancellation: 100% of the scheduled service cost.
For example, if a patient misses a regular chiropractic appointment ($55) for the first time they will be billed $33. A 90-minute massage ($100) will be billed $60. If it happens again the missed/late cancellation chiropractic appointment will be billed $44; the 90-min massage will be $80.
The same policy will hold for an appointment that was not cancelled with 24+ hours notice and that appointment cannot be filled. If we can fill that appointment time with another patient/client then there will be no charge.
This policy is an industry standard in both the medical and massage communities.
Thanks for your understanding.
Dr. John
